Welcome to iLapdance, the podcast where we discuss strip culture.
What do we do at iLapdance? Our goal is to be the premiere resource on the internet about strip culture. I always say, “stripping is grey.” Sometimes strip culture produces beautiful and profound experiences, other times there can be real ugliness. The vast majority of people’s experiences in strip culture are in-between. At iLapdance we provide the honest perspective. We talk about and with the people in the culture. We offer commentary on relevant news and current events. The show may be funny or serious, but it’s always real strip culture. There are no scripts and no inhibitions. We don’t censor our language or try to make things seem other than how they really are. We have the same standards for our guests that we do for ourselves. On this site you’ll find a balanced and knowledgeable presentation of strip culture that is not cliche or a retread of the popular media misrepresentations. We aren’t beholden to any club or owner so we won’t be engaging in the “my club is great, yours sucks” hyperbole you see on most sites about stripping. If you’re a part of strip culture, or interested in hearing the truth about it presented in an entertaining and informative way, then our site is for you.
While the podcast should certainly be considered adult in nature due to our subject matter, we aren’t a porn site. We don’t have explicit movies or pictures. Stripping is our favorite topic and we work and play at strip clubs. But if you want to spend time having adult fun with sexy women, log off the internet and go to a strip club. The more you go the better it gets. Visit your favorite club or find a new one. We’ll do our best to help you have a better time at any club you choose.
If you don’t like stripping or strippers you may want to leave now. Or maybe, like so many others who have listened with an open mind, you’ll find that much of what you thought you knew either isn’t true or has been misrepresented to you. People in strip culture are people too and have more in common with you than you may realize. The context of our culture may be radically different than the one you experience every day but we’re still people. Strip culture has been here for a long time. It’s grown and evolved and it isn’t going away any time soon. The best remedy to disagreement should always start with understanding. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t understand, this may be the place for you to begin. Our show may help you understand a girl in your life whose decision to join strip culture has caused you grief or concern or confusion. That’s worth 40 minutes of your time isn’t it?
Who are we? I’m Ash, the host and creator of iLapdance. I write about and have been involved in strip culture for years in many different roles. I visit clubs on an almost daily basis. My work there is to observe what happens so that both the show and my writing can be more informed, accurate and insightful. More than that, I work with the girls, helping them to transform their experiences and empowering them on their journey through a culture both unique and perilous. Roxie, iLapdance’s regular co-host, is a veteran stripper who brings humor and wit to every conversation. Roxie is never afraid to speak her mind or tell the truth. She is also a naturally talented and graceful dancer, known to be just as captivating whether on a stripper pole or spending time with her customers. Though we each have strong personalities, our on-air chemistry is born of like-mindedness and a friendship based on good communication, full of the same wit and humor you’ll hear on the show.
Thanks for stopping by our table. Sit down have a drink and enjoy the show. We saved the best seat for you.
Ash
